Alien: Covenant

Alien: Covenant

"Alien: Covenant" is a science fiction horror film released in 2017. It is the second installment in the "Alien" prequel series and serves as a sequel to "Prometheus" (2012). The film was directed by Ridley Scott and written by John Logan and Dante Harper.

The story is set in the same universe as the original "Alien" film series and follows the crew of the colony ship Covenant as they travel to a remote planet in hopes of establishing a new human colony. However, they stumble upon a seemingly uncharted paradise that soon reveals itself to be a dangerous and horrifying world inhabited by deadly creatures. The film explores themes of creation, artificial intelligence, and the origins of the Xenomorph species.

The cast includes actors such as Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, and others. Michael Fassbender plays a dual role as both the android David and a newer model named Walter.

"Alien: Covenant" received mixed reviews from critics, with praise for its visuals and performances but criticism for its pacing and the decision to shift away from the more philosophical themes of "Prometheus" towards a more traditional "Alien" horror experience. Despite the mixed reception, it remains a part of the larger "Alien" franchise and adds to the lore of the series.
