Under his leadership, the Stanford Cardinal football program experienced a significant resurgence. Under his leadership, the 49ers made three consecutive appearances in the NFC Championship Game and reached Super Bowl XLVII during the 2012 season, ultimately falling to the Baltimore Ravens.
